Full Coaching Sessions
Below is a link to two coaching sessions run by John McDermott with Tottenham Hotspur Academy players and another session with goalkeeping coach Pat Mountain featuring goalkeepers from Wolves, Hull and Bristol City.
Who is John McDermott?
John McDermott has worked with many of the brightest young players and coaches in the game. In his fifteen years at Tottenham Hotspur, these included England internationals Harry Kane, Danny Rose, Steven Caulker, Andros Townsend, Jake Livermore, Harry Winks and Ryan Mason, as well as a considerable number of players currently in the England ranks.
John has also helped develop the careers of many coaches, including Fulham manager Scott Parker and Liverpool academy manager Alex Inglethorpe. McDermott has also worked closely with Tim Sherwood, Mauricio Pochettino and then José Mourinho in support of the Spurs first team. Prior to his work with Tottenham Hotspur and The FA, McDermott began his coaching career with Watford and worked his way up through the ranks to become their academy manager.
Who is Pat Mountain?
After being forced to retire from playing through injury, Mountain obtained UEFA's outfield and goalkeeping coaching 'A' licences.
Pat is also an FA accredited goalkeeper tutor. Mountain started his coaching career at Cardiff City working in their academy before moving on to work with Cheltenham Town and Hereford United as the first team goalkeeper coach.
In 2008 Mountain moved to Wolverhampton Wanderers as their first team goalkeeper coach, this before moves to Hull City and Forest Green followed in the next decade. Mountain is currently first team goalkeeper coach at Championship club Bristol City.
